Tiffany S. Ma, PhD

CEO, CO-FOUNDER

Tiffany recently completed her CRUK RadNet Centre postdoctoral researcher fellowship at the Department of Oncology, Oxford University working on tumour hypoxia. Born in California and raised in Hong Kong, she completed her Bachelor in Molecular Cell Biology at UC Berkeley (with minors in Bioengineering and Gender Women’s Studies), and Masters in Translational Medicine (a joint programme between UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco) before finishing her DPhil in Oncology at Oxford University.

Apart from research, Tiffany is also passionate about biotech entrepreneurship. She was a venture fellow at Old Silver Venture Capital and an I2I fellow at the Oxford Saïd Business School. Tiffany co-founded GambitBio, inspired by the self-testing capabilities of the general public during COVID-19 pandemic and by the under-exploited proteomics research from the cancer biology world. Tiffany was a TEDxUniversityofEdinburgh invited speaker on Healthcare 4.0 and a British Association for Cancer Research (BACR) Rising Stars presenter. She is a finalist for Cancer Research Horizons’ Early-career Entrepreneur of the Year Award, 2024.

In her spare time, Tiffany likes to explore different cities/countries, spend time with friends and family, be an adrenaline junkie (bungee jumping, roller coasters, hot air balloons, helicopters), and advocate for the participation of women, girls and minorities in STEM.
